Supply Chain Modelling Consultants

Location: UK  
Salary negotiable based on experience

 

You have a good understanding of supply chain issues and planning with a desire to explore and develop your consulting skills as well as knowledge in the areas of optimisation & modelling techniques. The prospect of varied consultancy projects, training, mentoring and supporting other modellers appeals to you. 

You should have 2 to 3 years’ practical experience of consulting and supply chain modelling, ideally using CAST or similar Network Modelling software, as well as excellent data manipulation skills using Microsoft’s Excel (e.g. Pivot tables, VLookup etc.) and Access. You have experience in delivering results in the form of presentations and reports, according to a structured project plan (MS Project) and are comfortable interacting with and presenting to clients at a high level (such as CEO, FD, MD).

You will be working on clients sites alongside client teams, on an individual and team basis. You are prepared to travel and want to be in a challenging, exciting, and supportive environment. Proficiency in a foreign language will be an advantage. You will be educated to degree standard, in a logistics or relevant quantitative discipline, with practical experience gained through either solutions design or logistics operations.

CAST Support Consultant / Analyst 

 
Location: Knowle, Solihull  
Salary negotiable based on experience. 
 
The CAST Support Consultant / Analyst will be responsible for managing and delivering supply chain modelling support to all customers and also to act as internal support to the Barloworld Optimus professional services team.
 
This position has been created to enhance our global customer support and provide the successful candidate with a defined career path. It would be expected that the successful candidate would in time migrate to a Supply Chain Consultants role in a timescale based upon ability. A role specialising in customer support is also considered a defined career path for this position.
 
It is preferable if you have a supply chain modelling background using tools that are similar to our CAST software. You must be experienced in dealing with customers and understand the importance of placing the customer first.
 
You are likely to have at least 1 and preferably 2 or 3 years experience of the logistics industry within a 3PL, retail or manufacturing environment. You will be educated to degree standard, in a logistics or relevant quantitative discipline.

Supply Chain Consultant

Location:  200 East 5th Avenue, Suite 128, Naperville, IL 60563

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  Conduct Operations research and analysis and formulate strategic supply chain modeling solutions using CAST and other appropriate software tools. Formulate mathematical or simulation models of problems, relating constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives, and their numerical parameters. Model, measure and analyze the carbon emissions in customer supply chains and the impact on them due to network restructuring. Provide technical support and modeling project advice to customers. Identify objectives for projects and develop recommendations in line with requirements. Assess customers’ marketplace and products, logistics strategy and current issues. Develop and deliver training courses, perform one on one mentoring and otherwise train customers in the use of our CAST software. Manage consulting projects and specified accounts to ensure completion of projects on-time and within budget. Report project and customer feedback for internal product development and assist with specification, development and testing of new and existing products.

RATE OF PAY:    $51,000 – 108,000/Year

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must possess a Masters Degree or foreign academic equivalent in Business Administration or directly related field with 5 years of experience as a Product Manager or Management Consultant. Experience must include advanced supply chain network and inventory modeling techniques and knowledge of carbon emissions measurements and impacts with changes in the supply chain. 
 
HOURS:                                            8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F, 40 hours per week
